Our cafe is located in Dunn's Hay Shed which has been modified to create an authentic country cafe in the midst of an exhibition space for the gallery and museum.

Country style light lunches, desserts and cakes are prepared on site using local produce where possible.

The cafe is just 25 minutes from Beaudesert.

The fully catered option at Cedar Glen Farmstay offers guests wholesome home cooked country style meals. Much of the food is produced using fresh produce grown on the farm. We offer fully catered packages which include all meals for overnight guests.  Breakfast, hosted picnic lunches and two course dinners are also available to visitors staying at other Lost World Valley accommodation via prior arrangement.

Farmstay Activities

Cedar Glen is a real working farm that is fully licensed to provide authentic farm activities. The cow milking is literally a hands on experience where you get to have a go at squeezing the milk out of our patient Jersey cows.

There is also egg collecting and feeding animals including cows, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, pea cocks, turkeys, ducks and geese and Kangaroos.

(only available to non Cedar Glen Farmstay guests via prior arrangement - numbers are limited to ensure a hands-on experience for all)

Dairy Farm School - it's so cool!

Dairy Farm School is a real dairy farm offering curriculum based educational activities for school groups.

Activities range from simple "Pat the Animals", "Milk the Cows" and "Paddock to Plate" investigations to complex agricultural explorations of "Sustainable Farming" for Science, SOSE and Mathematics subjects.

"Picasso Cow", "Farm Museum" and "Historical Tales" activities are often used as scaffolding for Art, English and History explorations.

Specialised activities can be developed on request.

Our activities incorporate the Essential Learning components of the Qld Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Framework. Workbooks and detailed activity information are available after booking deposit is paid for to help with pre-visit preparation and post visit follow up.

Immerse yourself in farm life for an hour, a day or a whole weekend. Enjoy the fun of Catch & Release fishing from tumbling mountain streams and well stocked dams on operators' properties.

The Albert River is a sportfishers paradise and supports the fish species of Australian Bass, Cod, Spangled Perch, Eeltailed Catfish and the introduced pest fish Carp.

Crebra Farmhouse supplies fishing rods and map of the best fishing spots on our property free of charge to all our guests.

For the non fishers - other animals that might distract you for hours as your relex on the river are platypus, Azure Kingfishers and turtles to name a few.

Cedar Glen Farmstay offers horse riding for all ages and levels of ability. Pony rides or 1 hr trail rides will take you on a journey through some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the country. These are available for Cedar Glen Farmstay guests and other visitors to the Lost World Valley via prior arrangement. Max 6 people and minimum 2 people on each ride.

If you are looking for a spectacular birds eye view of the Lost World Valley, then this is the tour for you. Cedar Glen Farmstay offers an exciting 4 wheel drive adventure up the rugged bush track and on top of the cliffs historically known as ‘Jacks Rocks’. This tour occurs around twilight to catch the sun dissappearing over the distant ranges and includes a glass of champagne for adults to toast the sunset.  Available to Cedar Glen Farmstay guests and other visitors to the Lost World Valley via prior arrangement. Minimum 4 people (or minimum rate), maximum of 17 people. This activity is weather dependent.

Shepherd's Walk

"The Shepherd's Walk" is conducted in memory of the Aboriginal people and Chinese shepherds who lost their lives in conflict circa 1850 in the Kerry Valley.

It has been conducted annually in July since 1987 by the Beaudesert Historical Society. www.beaudesertmuseum.org.au
